Profile

Louvre Façade Solutions is Australia’s premier supplier of architectural louvre design, manufacture and installation. The originally French patent published blade design was adapted for the Australian market in 1984 and awarded the prestigious Australian Design Award in 2001, and continues to be the market leader for custom-designed commercial and residential louvre solutions.

Proudly Australian, Louvre Façade Solutions uses all-Australian sourced materials and timbres in the local market production of their blades, designed to the highest-quality Australian Design Rules standards and ensuring a zero waste policy by up-cycling off-cuts to produce subsequent install and louvre maintenance products, and ensuring a year-round carbon neutral footprint.

LFS louvres are designed to optimise the energy efficiency rating of a project by controlling the in-bound heat, light flow, sun exposure and ultraviolet rays, and can be fitted to be stationary permanent fixtures, operable opening and closing or fully retractable.

Primarily used for weather control, privacy and ventilation of large window or outdoor settings, LFS louvres can be installed as fixed, sliding, bi-folding or lifting panel configurations and may be controlled by hand or electronic motor drives. Electronic control devices can be linked to environmental sensors, including building management systems, which enable automatic adjustment of the blades in changing weather conditions. Alternatively, the louvre design solutions can be programmed to open and close in accordance to pre-set times by incorporating a timer device in the motorised set-up.

The use of Louvre Façade Solutions in any new-build project enables compliance with the Australian Governments energy efficiency legislation BASIX, making the bold design element a sustainability-first choice for architects and project leads.

Available in Australian cedar, in a number of colour-stains, extruded aluminium and enamelled roll-formed aluminium, LFS louvres are custom-designed in a variety of blade profiles and sizes and finished in contemporary powder coated or anodised colours, including black, khaki, slate grey and white.

All projects, commercial or residential, are assigned both a design lead and an engineer from LFS’s highly-specialised in-house team of professionals, ensuring wind loads and structural requirements meet engineering specifications from concept through to completion.
