From the architect: The design concept for the 1788 Residences draws on the boutique culture and European village ambience of Double Bay. The elegant sculpted form with concave and convex curves evokes the luxury and glamour of the 1920’s and art deco styles. At ground level the curved shopfronts draw pedestrians into the site and down the retail arcades, embracing and enhancing the pedestrian laneway networks in the village centre. The design will deliver 28 light and spacious luxury apartments with high levels of residential amenity and generous north-facing private balcony space.
